about

This new piece based on Dowland's FLOW MY TEARS has been composed for the project DOWLAND REVISITED [http://dr.la-mirada-automatica.com/], curated by Javier Ruíz and Tony Peña.
The title is also inspired by my previous works AURALI (2008-2013), 'cause some of the materials are similar in shape and sound color: an uncomfortable soundscape made of interference, fear and greed (Dowland), and conflicts. In this soundscape the beauty of the chant, the human voice, remind us the tremendous beauty of Nature and the fragility
of life. It is a reflection, almost an Epitaph where the words of the original
madrigal are fragmented too, a sort of relics of an ancient spell.
